Sticky Coconut Glutinous Rice Cake Balls

I love Saturdays and Sundays...weekends are days I can cook food that needed more preparations . Working days are simple dinners and at times no desserts at all...just fresh fruits :)  Weekends ....gosh , it is the only time we can make some nice stuff for afternoon tea snacks and examples are these sticky coconut glutinous rice balls. They are easy to prepare and besides I get to eat this only on a weekend..because that the only time I can visit the wet market to get the fresh grated coconut.

This is the family favourite . I have some glutinous rice cake from the last CNY. Every year , I will keep at least two glutinous rice cakes, nicely cut into slices and store in air tight container in the fridge. It can lasts for at least 2 -3 years :p but normally before the years expire, it would have been consumed within the year :)
