Wolfberry fruits or Goji berry have been used since ancient times in China as general tonic, to protect the liver, to improve vision, to strengthen weak legs and to promote longevity. Wolberry contains phytochemicals with antioxidant activity and could slow the ageing process. This is so good that chinese used them in soup and drinks. But today, we used them in cakes :)

I came to know of Roxana's blog - A Little Bit Of Everything through Chef Dennis 's blog . And I love her blog simply because she is such a down to earth person , a green person and of course she has lots of great recipes to share there :) I like her tea muffins and found it to be great for my breakfast. And I am sure many of you would want to try her simple to make and yet taste good tea muffins :)

I have been very busy with office work lately and thus explained why I was not updating here. Too tired to bake and do the washing up :p
When Chef Dennis wrote this on his blog some weeks back on Sarah Jane and her show ...I was like "wow it's cool " ..I would like to help but my photography skill sucks... I know that Sarah will not be impressed by my photos :) so did not send them over to her :p Anyway, since I have her products on hand, I would like to share this wonderful recipe with all of you. Quiche is one of the Piggies favorite and I had done a few with different ingredients for them. Quiche is so versatile and full of nourishment for growing children. Protein rich and great to serve them afternoon tea snacks or main dish for meals. Normally I would make quiche with a crust base but for this once it is a CRUSTLESS quiche....yesss you hear right...crust-less :p and it is one perfect quiche !

Let me thank Janice of Home Cook Baker for giving Elinluv's Sweet Delights this lovely award...not that I deserved it but somehow I am glad I am one of the recipients :p. This is my third one, the second one still waiting for me to pick up. I can't remember which blogger gave me so I have to go dig up :p Sorry, I was busy at that time and I told her I will go pick it up later ...I will...just hang on. This is a beautiful bread to have with a bowl of hot soup or stew. Believe me...the roasted garlic and herbs makes a lot of difference to the bread. Aromatic and the texture is soft inside with a crispy crust. Rustic in look and the taste is wonderful. Let alone making them ....it was a joy to make this great bread and without a bread maker. I tell you , this is the reason why I heart Peter Reinhart 's BBA so much. No regrets buying this book and for bread lovers , this is a must have book :) Will be getting another of his bread book soon :) This Potato Rosemary Bread is full of bold flavor from the roasted garlics , biga and rosemary infusion.

Saw this delectable and sinfully rich passion fruit ice cream on Michelle's blog - Foodagraphy By Chelle and you can guess the rest...the desire to make some for myself and Wild Boar was so great that I can't help it but to make them even though I knew that this is a yummy calories laden ice cream ! The passion fruit is supposely to be good for reducing high blood pressure but the yolk in it will top up the cholesterol level LOL! but as I said before moderation is my motto in life......I can never resist something this good ! I love Saturdays and Sundays...weekends are days I can cook food that needed more preparations . Working days are simple dinners and at times no desserts at all...just fresh fruits :) Weekends ....gosh , it is the only time we can make some nice stuff for afternoon tea snacks and examples are these sticky coconut glutinous rice balls. They are easy to prepare and besides I get to eat this only on a weekend..because that the only time I can visit the wet market to get the fresh grated coconut.

I received this book 500 pizzas and flatbreads from my Piggies as a gift for Mother's day in the year 2009 and I have only tried out a few of the recipes :p and the rest of the time the book is sitting snugly on my book shelf . I decided to make these wonderful Bannock , a scottish flatbread for our breakfast. As usual , when craziness takes control, wake up time will be 5.30am LOL! When you read the recipe instructions later on, you will agree this is by far the easiest to make dough . And the end result makes waking up at 5.30am worthwhile !!
