I have some leftover dough from making quiches and not knowing what to do with it, I just dump in a container and let it sit in the fridge for a few days. I wanted to make strawberry ice cream for Wild Boar but since I still have a tub of Rum Raisin Ice Cream, I decided to use the strawberries as topping for the tarts I was going to make for our dessert. I could not resist taking so many photos of them for my Piggies to drool over...haha yea...I am the wicked Momsie once again ! * wink
It was good....the crust was crunchy and the egg custard layer was just perfect ( no fix ratio of ingredients - I just beat up 2 eggs with 1 tbsp of sugar, add in a big dollop of whip cream and some fresh milk and vanilla extract ) Whisk them till combine and baked in the oven for 25-30 minutes and when the tarts have cooled down, I topped the custard tarts with strawberries and decorate with white chocolate . Wow...like a five star dessert..LOL! Just kidding....anyway Wild Boar loves the crunchy tart shells I made for the chocolate ones. I filled the baked tart shells with chocolate ganache ( left overs too ) and topped with strawberries too.
this taste like the egg custard except the crust is crunchy...yummy
the strawberries are the local Camerons ones
sweet and sour...just perfect for the tarts :)
I love the chocolate one...so good and the
tart crust is crunchy .....I know I have put
on some calories....eat first and feel remorseful later
I made the crust thin ...so biscuitty...:)

fit for the Queen....that good eh....:p
Love `em all...........
The crust recipe is taken from Martha Stewart's favorite pie crust
Have a good day !
