Japanese Matcha Cheesecake

I chose to bake this for the weekend coz it is easy to prepare and I have Wild Boar to help pick up the washing :p  The cake texture turned out light, airy and moist and it melts in the mouth.  I googled for a light japanese cheesecake and found this on Peng's Kitchen.  I am glad that I picked hers although there are so many Japanese cheesecake recipes on the internet.  The matcha powder has a great impact on the cake.  The after taste of the matcha powder lingers in the mouth. Luck was on my side, the cake did not sink nor crack and I am happy with the result.  I gave half the cake to my  Piggy Cousin , she loves cheesecake :) and she is my official taster :)  Thank you Peng of Peng's Kitchen for sharing this cake recipe.  A keeper for sure !  Read on for her recipe

Music Notation Program Software

Josh was telling me about this music notation program software that will help compose, arrange, publish , teach and share .  I was blur when he first talked about it but after reading what it can do for composer and music teachers, I think it is the most smart music program that has been created . Finale 2012 will allow you to have access to more Garritan sounds, of course , in addition to more than 400 instrument sounds from the makers of Garritan Personal Orchestra, Finale also includes sounds from the makers of Virtual Drumline and more.   Smart Music Integration is a Finale Exclusive !  I am sure Miss Chong , Josh's music teacher will be impressed by it.  Will  instantly save her Finale creations as SmartMusic solo or ensemble accompaniments and assign the piece to her students, assess their performance and celebrate their success.  I will tell her about it the next time we meet up for lunch.  I am sure she will want to get finale 2012 for herself :)

Greek Yoghurt With Mango

I love this for breakfast before going to work after my stretching exercises.  Now with the frozen shoulder and all,  I have to do 30 minutes to 40 mins of stretching exercises every morning before I leave for office.   And this is a good morning pick me up after the workout :)   And I can have this again before I go to bed...that is when I feel like having something yummy and not having to feel guilty !  Greek yoghurt is the best yoghurt so far that I have tasted.  Though it is a bit pricey compared to other brands , it has now become my favorite yoghurt.   Yoghurt is a top health food and we should take it every day :)   You can get Greek Yoghurt from Jusco at Kinta City if you are staying in Ipoh :)

Swimming Is A Good Form Of Exercise :)

Jo is having a stressful time at the Uni..her experiments, reports, hall tutor duties and writing her thesis is really putting a toil on her.  I suggested that she go swimming..for swimming is the best workout for a tired body.  It helps her not just to cool off but also work up the body muscle. Regular swimming also builds endurance, muscle strength and cardio-vascular fitness.  I told her that she can relax and swim with a very low effort. Let her mind wander, and focusing on nothing but the rhythm of her stroke.  This is a form of meditation that can help her gain a feeling of well-being, leaving her refreshed and ready to go on with the rest of her day.  Swimming develop life skills such as sportsmanship, time management , self discipline, goal setting and an increased sense of self worth.   I am glad that she agrees to what I have told her and she is now looking into booking a time slot for her using the Uni swimming pool.  And at the same time , I told her not to wear her bikinis when swimming at the Uni pool but to wear a full coverage swimwear.  Not that I am an old fashioned Momsie but not to draw attention to one self...times are bad.  Swimming is good for her too as she complained that she has put on weight :)

Hokkaido Chiffon Cupcake With Matcha Cream Filling

Every Friday night we have cell group meeting where we gather together to have praise and worship plus bible lessons/discussions/sharing and not to mention after the spiritual food , we will have some physical food  :)  I decided to make these light /moist and spongy little cakes with my favourite green tea cream filling....for the cell group meet up.   This is the easiest cake to make and the most delectable one for that matter.   This is my second time making it and I have room for improvement.  I was inspired by Sonia of Nasilemaklover...she has a beautiful blog full of mouth-watering stuff and this Hokkaido chiffon cupcake liners and recipe are from her.  You can order these cupcake liners from her.  Check it out from her online store , she has plenty of baking utensils ...why the hassle of going to the physical store whereby you can order from her online store in comfort...just click and place your order and it will be delivered to your doorstep...which I did and I got it from her in just a few days after placing my order for these liners :)  Thank you so much Sonia for the liners and the Hokkaido Chiffon Cupcake recipe.   This time I filled the little chiffon cakes with green tea cream.  I baked these delectable little cakes for our cell group meeting :)

Brass Orchestra Performance - Awesome

My Piggies music teacher invited me to a Brass Orchestra performance last weekend and I was really blown away by their performance.  I did not know how to appreciate the trombone but after listening to the orchestra performance,  only then did I know how to appreciate this brass instrument.  I did a little check on this brass instrument and discovered that the trombone can be found in wind ensembles/concert bands, symphony orchestras, marching bands, military bands, brass bands and brass choirs.  In chamber music, it is used in brass quintets, quartets, or trios, or trombone trios, quartets, or choirs.  The size of a trombone choir can vary greatly from five or six to twenty or more members.  Awesome  !  I want to go for more of this brass concerts ...I love the sound of trombone :)

To make it even more healthy, I used low fat milk in placeof double cream .  Love the taste and fragrance of green tea and  you won't believe it , 3 scoops was not enough for me.  Gluttony... right ?  * wink .  Check out the recipe :)

Earrings And Rings Make Dressing A Woman Complete..True?

I love earrings and rings . Be it a trinket or real . Rings make my fingers looks great :) When I was five years old, I remembered I used to take my eldest cousin's costume jewelry and play with them. I will wear her rings which are far too big for my tiny fingers LOL! Grandma used to scold me for playing with the cousin's trinkets.  Today, I am a matured person and I buy my own rings :)  and still buying online instead of going to the shop.  I like those cameo rings from  .  They are beautifully crafted and are made in USA.  I recommended my Piggy Jo and friend Reana Claire and they both like the ring designs .
