Sausage Cheese Rolls

Baking and happily baking away….in my little sanctuary where peace and happiness surrounded me and the heavenly aroma of baked Sausage Cheese Rolls wafting out from the oven was enough to make my heart sings joyously last night.

I have this burning desire to try out this bun recipe by dailydelicious and I just have to try it out. Sausage Cheese Rolls….oohhhh I know one person in the Piggy clan who will love it and I told myself this “ for Wild Boar's sake, no matter how tiring it can be , to be palm wrestling with the piece of dough, I have to succeed and make the best bun ever ” . And I noticed WB's waistline has expanded further) (“,)

This is the fun part of the whole bun making. As you can see from the photos, it was great and I had so much fun braiding the rolls. Frankly speaking I was a bit nervous when doing this for I am not sure whether I followed the instructions correctly or not. But I know that Pook always shares the best recipe and I have confidence that it will turned out nice. God Bless her for sharing such a wonderful cheese rolls recipe…after baking the rolls for 10 minutes…I couldn’t believe my eyes…the rolls turned out PERFECTLY like those sold in bakeries (",) and the best part was it tasted BETTER than those sold in the bakery!!! Jokes aside…for those who love buns and would like to try making your own buns, this is one recipe that should not go unnoticed. Thumbs up!!!

Quote for the day

Hope is not the conviction that something will turn out well,
but the certainty that something makes sense regardless of how it turns out.

Mother's Day Gift 2

WB asked me what gift would I like to have for Mother's Day and I told him anything will do as long as it is from the heart.  Every Mother's Day, WB will take me out for dinner :)   I will be exempted from cooking and baking for the day ! And this tradition has been observed since I became a mom.  My kids will send wishes and gifts from wherever they are if on those occassion they can't make it home to celebrate with me.

Last year, I received a beautiful 'Carnival' magnetic copper  bracelet specially choosen from these magnetic copper bracelets on this website from my Piggy girl. It was colorful with fluid design, and inspired by the Carnival dancesmeant to capture the movement and carefree attitude of the largest party in the world.  I love the fact that it is a copper bracelet using silver ,brass and copper. It is not just a beautiful piece of bracelet but the copper bracelet helps in the treatment of  hand, wrist, shoulder pain. I had tendinitis before I had my surgery done last year and gosh it does help.  I love my Mother's Day gift and I am looking forward to receiving gifts from my kids this coming Mother's Day :)  And WB.....maybe to the best restaurant in town since I am not allowed in the kitchen on that day :p

Garlic Bun With Garlic Parsley Butter Toppings

The smell of freshly baked buns emanating from the oven is the best aromatherapy for me and WB. We love the aroma of freshly baked buns whether it is a simple plain bun or flavored buns like these garlic parsley buns....mmmm the aroma is so good that I have WB hovering around the oven waiting for the buns to be ready for eating , like a little boy and this brings a smile to my tired face after all the kneading session. Worth every ounce of energy spent on making these buns. The aroma fills the whole house and it lingers for hours. I love making bread and bun and it is therapeutic for me :)

"The smell of good bread baking, like the sound of lightly flowing water, is indescribable in its evocation of innocence and delight... Breadmaking is one of those almost hypnotic businesses, like a dance from some ancient ceremony. It leaves you filled with one of the world's sweetest smells... there is no chiropractic treatment, no Yoga exercise, no hour of meditation in a music-throbbing chapel, that will leave you emptier of bad thoughts than this homely ceremony of making bread." by MFK Fisher.

love shaping them into rolls

Chaco , My Furkid

Chaco is my most loved furry son. He recently developed some skin problem and we thought it was mange.  But it was not and  our local  veterinarian told us that a course of mange medicine will do but alas, the skin problem came back after a few months.  After another test, we found that Chaco has some micro organisms bateria on his skin thus causing him to scratch all the time and his fur came dropping off like nobody business.  On a friend's recommendation this time, he asked us to get simplicef for Chaco's skin problem.  And thank God , after a course of Simplicef, he is now back to normal and his fur are growing back.  He looks handsome now.

Simplicef is an antibiotic belonging to a class of drugs called cephalosprins that fight bacteria in the dog 's body and can be used to treat many different types of infections such as bronchitis or pneumonia as well as ear, skin, and urinary tract infections.  Wow...it works for Chaco !

Boiron Brand

Boiron, a brand I have just heard about from my son in law who is a pharmacist.  He told me that Boiron was first founded in France in 1932 by pharmacists Jean and Henri Boiron. Since then Boiron has grown to become the largest homeopathic manufacturer today and their mission is to promote scientific homeopathy as a compassionate, ecological and comprehensive approach to medicine. My son in law is in favor of me taking this homeopathic herbs and teas and he thinks it will benefit my health if I were to try out their products. I understand that all U.S.  boiron brand products are manufactured in strict accordance with the FDA and HPUS regulations for homeopathic medicines thus my son in law said it is safe to take them for my health.  I will definitely purchase online for some of the herbs and teas recommended by him :) It is a blessing to have a son in law who is a pharmacist. He surely can advise me on medicines and its usage.
